Central United Methodist is committed to children. Age-appropriate nursery rooms, professional nursery staff, and welcoming arms are here for your comfort and your child’s safety. We offer educational programs for preschoolers and up, introducing them to our Lord. Feel free to contact Sandra Tumlin with any questions.
All women are invited to be a part of United Methodist Women (UMW). All women who commit themselves to the purpose of UMW are members of this group. Worldwide, over a million women are active in the UMW, making it one of the largest women’s groups in the world. At Central, women primarily participate in the UMW via small groups called “circles.” Circles meet monthly (except during the summer months of June through August) to discuss mission projects, business issues, and members’ needs.
Youth Ministry at Central is dedicated to meeting all youth right where they are, both in life and in their spiritual journey. We are dedicated to forming safe, deep and meaningful relationships with our young people. Our goal is to be a Christian Home.2example going before them to show them the way, be beside them to guide them on their journey, and be behind them to catch them when they fall.
We offer a wide variety of music at Central United Methodist Church. Our choirs are open to all ages and are led by Susan Renz and Donna Hill. Many talented musicians in our congregation join our choirs for special music. Some of our music programs include: Chancel Choir Children's Choir Wesley Ringers Handbell Choir Young Ringers Handbell Choir Summer Music Camp For Kids
On the second Sunday of each month (except during the summer), our United Methodist Men meet for breakfast at 8:45am. Named after a long-time member and cook, this men’s group is one of the largest men’s gatherings in our area.
Our Health Ministry Community offers many programs throughout the year. We have offered special events like blood drives, flu shot clinics, home health education, organ donation and a heart health workshop. Our Parish Nurse is a great advocate for the patient, our congregation. Whether it be a simiple procedure or a complicated one, Amy will help you through it.
