Tom Latimer
Senior Pastor
Reverend Thomas Latimer was born and raised in High Point, NC. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Duke University in 1980 and went on to Duke Divinity School completing his Masters in Divinity in 1983. Tom was ordained in the WNCC in 1982 as a Deacon and served his first appointment as an Associate Pastor at Providence Road UMC. He continued to serve several churches throughout the Western NC Conference with his most recent appointment as Senior Pastor at Blair Road UMC (2020). In addition to his Leadership of local congregations, Tom has been active in the conference serving on various District Teams and Committees. He is a United Methodist Foundation Board Member and chairs the Reynold’s Ministry Team (sponsoring grants and Leadership Development Programs for clergy). He is married to Jennie Hayworth Latimer and they have one son Thomas Powell and a daughter in law, Tyler. His hobbies include golf, music, and sports of all kinds. He is a true Blue Devil fan! They are a “house divided” as both Jennie and Powell graduated from Chapel Hill.

Savannah Glover
Associate Pastor
Reverend Savannah Glover was raised in Homewood, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham where her family still resides. Savannah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Religion in 2019 from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Savannah graduated from Duke Divinity School in May 2022, where she met her husband, Noah Glover, who is the pastor at Rock Grove United Methodist Church in Salisbury, North Carolina. Savannah and Noah both are licensed local pastors on the track to become ordained Elders in the United Methodist Church. Savannah’s ministerial gifts and passions are creating meaningful relationships and spaces of belonging through intentional conversation and listening. She would love to get to know your story over a cup of coffee any time!

Susan Renz
Music Minister & Organist
Susan grew up in Rochester, New York, and attended the Eastman School of Music Prep Department, studying piano and organ for seven years. Prior to joining Central UMC in late 2014, she served churches in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Norcross, Georgia, and several Christian and Jewish congregations in Connecticut. She has two grown sons, Kenny, who lives outside Washington, DC and James, who lives in Oslo, Norway.

Donna Hill
Associate Music Minister
Donna serves as the Choir Director for the Chancel Choir. She joined the music team at Central in 1994. She received her Bachelors of Music Education in Choral Conducting from Winthrop University. She studied choral conducting with Dr. Robert Edgerton and former Oratorio Singers of Charlotte Director, the late, Dr. Mary Nell Saunders. Currently, Donna is also the Director of Carolina Voices’ Festival Singers, serving there since 2004. She was a singer with the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte for twenty-five years as well as the Associate Conductor for the last ten of those years.

Amy Beaver
Parish Nurse
Amy attended and graduated from RCCC in 1986 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Her first experience as a new graduate was in a cardiac telemetry unit. With the birth of her first child and changing circumstances, she later began employment with Cabarrus Pediatric Clinic in Concord. She then transferred to Rowan Regional, where she had been for 18 years serving the last seven as the charge nurse in the Outpatient Surgery Department. She was one of the 2009 nominees for the Great One Hundred Nurses and also won the Customer First Award.

Liz Boldman
Director of Christian Formation
Liz grew up in Clearwater, Florida and is the youngest of 5 kids. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Film Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy, and a Master of Arts in Christian Theology. She loves ministering to and spiritually guiding children and teens. She also loves exploring, travelling, hiking, and anything adventurous! She is always looking for new opportunities to learn more about the world and other people.

Patti Waldeisen
Financial Administrator
Patti serves as the Financial Administrator at Central. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant. Patti brings 18 years of experience in church accounting. Previous experience includes diversified accounting and audit roles in public and corporate accounting. She is excited to use her skills to make a difference in ministry at Central. Patti is from Charlotte and lives in Davidson with her husband Mark. They have 2 daughters and 2 sons in law and a granddaughter. Patti enjoys taking long walks, cooking and spending time with her family.

Toni Hagerman
Director of Administration and Communications
Toni grew up in Radford, Virginia, and attended James Madison University. She has made her home in the Charlotte area for the past 30 years, where she and her husband Don raised three daughters. Before coming to Central, she served as Director of Christian Education and Spiritual Formation for several area churches and as Executive Director of Galilee Ministries of East Charlotte (a refugee service center). Toni’s hobbies include gardening and enjoying good food with friends. She is happy to have the opportunity to support the many wonderful ministries at Central UMC.

Caimile Loy
Communications Manager
Caimile has been with Central since 2014 as a congregation member and volunteer before joining the staff in 2021. She currently attends NC State as a full-time student majoring in English: Rhetoric and Professional Writing and double minoring in Spanish and Anthropology. She loves her job at Central and is always happy to help!

Keith Munday
Facilities Manager
Keith serves as the Facility Manager at Central. He retired from Jones Lang Lasalle/AT&T data center in 2018 and brings with him a wealth of practical knowledge. He has been married to his wife, Gina, since 1979. They have one daughter and three grandchildren who live in Indiana where his son-in-law teaches law at Indiana University. Keith’s hobbies include propagation and gardening.
