Children's Ministry
Central United Methodist Church loves children! We welcome children of all ages into a warm, Christian environment. Our goal at Central UMC is to nurture, love, and introduce the children to the Christian faith. We offer religious classes and programming for children of all ages.
The Children Of Central
There is a place for every child at Central United Methodist Church. We offer loving childcare during the 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM worship services, as well as during the Sunday School hour at 10:00 AM, for children that are infants – preschool age. Each time that we are together we take care of the children both physically and spiritually.
We have a Safe Sanctuaries policy in place to protect our children. Thorough background checks are performed on all volunteers that work with our children.

Nursery
Ages: Birth -- 4 Years Old
The nursery is provided for our youngest children from birth to age 5. It is located in the “Central Tower” room near the church office. The nursery is staffed with warm and friendly childcare providers who will lovingly look after your child. We have a digital check-in system powered through Realm in order to have extra security measures in place. The nursery workers will be able to reach you quickly in case of an emergency or if your child is having a difficult morning.

Vacation Bible School
Join Central every summer for Vacation Bible School! All elementary-age children are welcome to attend. Volunteer opportunities are also available. Summer 2022 we were on a roll with God through our "Food Truck Party" VBS! Our lessons centered around Matthew 6:11, "Give us this day our daily bread." We were reminded that everything we have comes from God. By turning to God in prayer, all of our daily needs are met. Reach out to Sandra Tumlin if you would like to help volunteer for the 2023 Vacation Bible School in August!
Central is dedicated to protecting its children and youth. We have a Safe Sanctuaries policy in place. You may view the policy or find a background check form by clicking on the respective links.
