Habitat for Humanity Faith Build
Wednesday, 05 May 2010 16:26

The date for our congregation's mission project is May 15, 2010. This year, we will be putting siding on a new home. This will be Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County's first-ever two-story home, so siding will be a big larger project than in the past. Central has contributed $7500 to this project.

We've split the task up over a few days to ensure that it gets finished. We need approximately 15-20 people to work. Volunteers for this task absolutely must be age 18 or older. We also need some to provide lunch, a snack, and drinks for our volunteers that day, plus about 10-15 additional volunteers. We will have bottled water on the site.

If you would like to help, visit the Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus web site and choose the Central United Methodist Church Siding project. Signing up online is not required for volunteers to participate, but does help keep an accurate headcount for our group leaders. It also eliminates the need for additional paperwork on the morning of the build as the waiver form will be completed electronically.

Once volunteers sign up to participate, they will receive an e-mail with all of the information necessary on the day of the build.
