Susannah was born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia. In 2Staff_2010_2004, she graduated summa cum laude from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia, with a degree in International Relations. It was during her years in college when Susannah experienced her calling to ordained ministry. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she pursued this calling to ministry, graduating with a Master of Divinity degree in 2007 from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where she was a Margaret A. Pitts scholar and the recipient of the Richey Award for excellence in Wesleyan studies.

Following her graduation, she was appointed to serve as the associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in Enterprise, Alabama, where she served in a general pastoral capacity for three years and became ordained as an elder in full connection in the United Methodist Church. Susannah was appointed to serve as an associate pastor at Central UMC in the spring of 2010 and looks forward to being in ministry with this wonderful church family.

Susannah is married to Lonnie, who is also an elder in the United Methodist Church; the two met in preaching class at Candler. Lonnie is a native of Pensacola, FL, and is a passionate Gators fan. The two have a dachshund named Emory. In her free time, Susannah enjoys playing the organ and piano, playing tennis, practicing yoga, and doing needlework.
